Residential Care for Children and Young People

Caring about the steps children make…

Caring Steps was set up by Chaz Gill a Qualified an experiences Social worker with years of experience working with Children in Care. Caring Steps is an independent provider of children’s residential homes specialising in providing bespoke residential care to Children and Young People regardless of their backgrounds and the challenges they may have faced. We are adults “making time for children”.

At Caring Steps we believe that building positive relationships with Children and Young People is the key element in them progressing and achieving their own individual milestones. Our dedicated adult team support and empower our children and young people by offering a therapeutic and nurturing environment for them to grow and thrive. We ensure that the welfare of all our children and young people is at the forefront of our decision making in accordance with their individual care plans.

Our Values….

“We believe that building positive relationships with children and young people is a key element in them progressing and achieving their own individual milestones”

“We believe that building positive relationships with children and young people is a key element in them progressing and achieving their own individual milestones”

At Caring steps we…

homely living environment

Aim to provide a homely living environment which is safe and caring for children and young people.

break the cycle

Aim to break the cycle of children and young people experiencing multiple placement breakdowns as we recognise that this leads to inconsistent care and a repeated scene of trauma, rejection, loss and separation over and over.

safe environment

Aim to create a safe environment where children and young people can come to terms with their past and prepare for their future, allowing them the space and time to adjust to being “in care” before supporting them to step down into a foster home, return to family or move to independence.
